Bruce D. White, MS, CFP®

CREATING AND PRESERVING WEALTH THROUGH FINANCIAL PLANNING

Bruce D. White, MS, CFP® has provided financial planning and investment advisory services since 1984. He holds a B.A. in Economics and an M.S. in Financial Planning and earned the Certified Financial Planner™ designation. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Institute of Certified Financial Planners (ICFP), professional organizations dedicated to advancing the standards and ethics of the financial planning profession.

As Principal of PB White & Co., a Registered Investment Advisor based in San Luis Obispo, California, Bruce leads a team of experienced professionals who work collaboratively to serve clients with consistency and care. The firm is structured to provide thoughtful planning, disciplined investment oversight, and responsive client service. Together, Bruce and his team support individuals and families seeking long-term guidance across financial planning, retirement planning, and investment strategy.

His planning philosophy centers on two disciplines essential to financial independence: building wealth through consistent saving and disciplined investing to preserve wealth by addressing the risks that can erode it over time, including inflation, taxes, healthcare costs, and major life transitions.

Through a structured and methodical process, Bruce helps clients clarify priorities, evaluate alternatives, and align investment strategies with their time horizon, cash flow needs, and tolerance for risk. Recommendations are designed to be clear, diversified, and practical, emphasizing realistic expectations and long-term consistency rather than unnecessary complexity or short-term market movement.

Zach White, MS, CFP®

Zach White became a financial planner to do more than just work with numbers he wanted to help people make sense of their financial lives and feel genuinely confident about the road ahead. Whether he’s mapping out a retirement plan or helping someone take the next step toward a lifelong goal, Zach is at his best when he’s solving problems that truly matter to the individuals and families he serves.

What drives Zach is the impact this work has on real lives. One moment that stands out is when he showed a client that their dream retirement was not only possible, that it was within reach. Seeing their stress give way to confidence reminded him why this work is so meaningful.

Zach holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Business from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning from the College for Financial Planning. He earned his CFP® designation in 2017 and also holds a current Life and Health Insurance License.

Clients appreciate Zach’s grounded, approachable style and his ability to explain complex strategies in a clear and thoughtful way. Outside of the office, you’ll find him spending time with his wife and young children, mountain biking, reading philosophy, experimenting in the kitchen, or planning his next trip.

He finds inspiration in timeless philosophers like Seneca, Saint Augustine, and Aristotle—especially the latter who wrote, “We are what we repeatedly do; excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit.”
